ACiQ Mini Splits

ACiQ mini splits are ductless heating and cooling systems manufactured for residential and light commercial applications, delivering year-round climate control without the ductwork required by traditional central HVAC. ACiQ systems are distributed primarily through HVAC wholesale and dealer networks, positioning the brand as a contractor-trusted alternative to consumer retail-focused mini split manufacturers.

ACiQ mini splits are available in single-zone and multi-zone configurations with BTU capacities from 9,000 to 36,000 BTU. Efficiency ratings reach up to 20 SEER2 on the Essentials series and higher on extreme-climate Heat Pump models rated for operation in temperatures as low as -13°F. All models use inverter-driven compressor technology and R32 refrigerant on current production units.

The Trade Table carries ACiQ mini splits in single-zone and multi-zone configurations for homes, additions, commercial spaces, and new construction HVAC installations.

ACiQ Mini Splits | Single-Zone, Multi-Zone & Extreme Climate Heat Pump Systems

An ACiQ mini split consists of an outdoor compressor unit connected to one or more indoor wall-mounted air handlers through a 3-inch wall penetration. Refrigerant lines, power wiring, and a condensate drain all run through this single opening. Indoor units independently heat and cool their designated zone using their own thermostat and remote control.

Single-zone ACiQ systems pair one outdoor condenser with one indoor head — ideal for room additions, sunrooms, converted garages, bonus rooms, and any space where central HVAC does not reach or is impractical to extend. Multi-zone ACiQ systems pair one outdoor condenser with multiple indoor heads, allowing independent temperature control across multiple rooms from a single outdoor unit.

Extreme climate ACiQ models are engineered for reliable heat pump operation in cold weather, maintaining heating capacity in outdoor temperatures down to -13°F. This makes them suitable for northern climates where standard mini splits lose capacity or switch to auxiliary heat.

Inverter-driven compressor technology varies motor speed based on demand instead of cycling on and off. This delivers more consistent indoor temperatures, quieter operation, and higher efficiency than fixed-speed HVAC. Current ACiQ production uses R32 refrigerant, which has a lower global warming potential than the R410A refrigerant used in older mini splits.

ACiQ Mini Split FAQs

Are ACiQ mini splits good?

Yes. ACiQ mini splits use the same inverter-driven compressor technology, R32 refrigerant, and core engineering as other major mini split brands. The brand is primarily distributed through HVAC wholesale and contractor channels rather than consumer retail, which gives ACiQ a reputation as a contractor-trusted system backed by dealer technical support.

What is the difference between single-zone and multi-zone ACiQ systems?

Single-zone systems pair one outdoor condenser with one indoor air handler to heat and cool a single area. Multi-zone systems pair one outdoor condenser with multiple indoor handlers, allowing independent temperature control in separate rooms from a single outdoor unit. Single-zone is the right choice for one-room installations; multi-zone is better for whole-home ductless setups.

What size ACiQ mini split do I need?

Sizing is based on BTU capacity relative to room square footage and climate. General guideline: 9,000 BTU for up to 400 sq ft, 12,000 BTU for 400-600 sq ft, 18,000 BTU for 600-1,000 sq ft, 24,000 BTU for 1,000-1,500 sq ft. Insulation quality, ceiling height, and sun exposure also affect sizing — a Manual J load calculation provides the most accurate specification.

Do ACiQ mini splits work in cold climates?

Yes. ACiQ extreme climate heat pump models are engineered for reliable heating in outdoor temperatures as low as -13°F. Standard ACiQ models handle typical winter conditions, but northern climates and regions with frequent sub-zero temperatures should specify an extreme climate model to maintain full heating capacity when it matters most.

What refrigerant do ACiQ mini splits use?

Current ACiQ production models use R32 refrigerant. R32 has a significantly lower global warming potential than the R410A refrigerant used in older mini splits and is part of the broader industry transition toward lower-GWP refrigerants. R32 also delivers higher energy efficiency and better heat transfer than R410A.

The stove is working beautifully!

The stove is working beautifully! Up here in the San Juan Mountains, we're starting to experience some chilly mornings. Today, it was below 30 degrees at 7 am! I'm grateful for having this Heater, especially since the days warm up to nearly 80 degrees, making it pretty spectacular.

Grateful for Exceptional Service!

I have nothing but good things to say about my experiences. We had an accident at home causing the filter to break (my own end- nothing to do with quality) and customer service went above and beyond to get me a replacement. It is rare to find in this day and age such personalized assistance.

Excellent Service and Support

Very knowledgeable, and very helpful. John, researched what filters I needed for my particular Greenfield water filter system. And received those filters, and were the exact ones I needed. Again I would like to thank John for his professionalism and down home attitude.
