After a major Google Search update derailed one of Forrest Webber's projects, Talking Tradesmen, he realized the risk of relying solely on Google to attract customers. Instead of "renting" customers from Google, Forrest created a local newsletter and directory website to "own" the email addresses of potential customers in the areas where his businesses operate.
